We have seen a long row of intruders entering the classroom; Media- and new Assessment Methods. The second group has won. No one can ignore test regimes overtaking teachers' autonomy and even societies' priorities; As long as learning outcomes dominate learning processes, only marginal innovations will penetrate the didactic arena. Do we need national disputes on the educational value chain; Is the test instrumental to learning or vice versa?
